Ang Kapatiran Party (AKP) (''lit.'' "The Brotherhood"), also known as the Alliance for the Common Good is a political party in the Philippines, formed in 2004 and unaffiliated with either major coalition in the 2007 elections. However, it did not participate in the 2004 elections. Reynaldo “''Nandy''” Pacheco, is the founder of this party. ==Senatorial candidates== Ang Kapatiran fielded three candidates for the Senate in the 2007 elections. * Zosimo Jesus Paredes II - Former executive director of the Presidential Commission on the Visiting Forces Agreement who resigned at the height of the Philippine government's perceived protection of convicted American rapist Daniel Smith (marine soldier) after the latter's transfer of detention from the Makati City jail to the US Embassy compound. He is also the brother of Ducky and Jim Paredes. * Dr. Martin Bautista - Gastroenterologist who had spent the last 17 years working in the United States.
